Introduction to 2015

2014 was a milestone year for Hawaii Tech Support as we celebrated our 10th anniversary.  We are thankful for our clients and partners for the opportunity to work together over the last ten years.  This year was another successful year helping businesses better communicate, share information, minimize downtime and increase mobility, all through technology.

For 2015, we expect businesses to continue the transition to cloud services like hosted virtual servers and Office365.  Businesses are starting to see the benefits of cloud options while also having concerns of security and data access addressed.  Support for Windows 2003 servers ends in July 2015 so companies still running 2003 based servers should start the migration planning process in the first quarter of 2015.  A solid backup plan is critical as we’ve seen how Malware like CryptoLocker and CryptoWall encrypt data and render files inaccessible.  A good backup plan minimizes the damage done and the end of the year is a good time to have your backup tuned or updated to match business requirements.  Call or email our team if you’d like more information on Cloud Solutions, Backup or any other tech support need.  From our Hawaii Tech Support team, may 2015 be a year filled with love, peace and better sleep at night.
